MP4 compression creates smaller files without compromising quality so you can upload your clips even quicker. You've also got the choice of recording and playing back in Standard Definition format (640x480 video resolution). And with a 1.8" LCD screen, you'll see clearly and instantly what you've been filming.

It's simple to switch from the HD movie mode to the 5 megapixel stills camera. And to help you get the shots you're after, you can choose between 5 unique scene selection modes like "Lowlight" or "Landscape", making it easier for you to take high-quality images, wherever you are. Then there's the 4x digital zoom which allows you to move in close to your subjects and capture all the action in crisp detail. And if you're after added stability, just pop the PM1 on a tripod - it's compatible.

For a fresh spin on self recording, the MHS-PM1 features a unique lens that swivels up to 270 degrees so you can include yourself and make sure you're not left out of the picture. It's particularly handy if you like to post videos of yourself on your blog. The lens doubles up as a power switch, so as soon as you rotate it, you're ready to start recording video or taking still shots immediately.

Long-lasting power and masses of memory
Now you never need to miss a memory. With Sony's long-lasting rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries you're ready to record up to 100 minutes of HD video footage before having to charge them up again. And for extra flexibility you can cram up to 8.5 hours of HD video footage or thousands of photos on to an ultra-small Memory Stick PRO Duo media, sold separately. That means easy transfer to a PC or Mac for emailing, printing or sharing with other Memory Stick PRO Duo compatible devices.

Easy uploads
It's a piece of cake to upload and update your friends on what you've been up to. The MHS-PM1 comes with Sony's PMB (Picture Motion Browser) Portable software which makes it easy to select and upload your videos to video-sharing websites like YouTube™. You can also burn images to disc or email pictures to your friends, no need for any additional software. PMB's interface is clear, helpful and easy to use, enabling you to share your photos and videos with others in just a few clicks. (Compatible PC with internet capability required.)

Transfer your files quickly and easily using the supplied USB 2.0 cable. Connect your camera to a compatible PC or Mac and transfer video and still images faster than ever. You can even connect your PM1 to your TV for easy playback using the Multi-AV terminal and cable.
